Dear Father I thank You for the message that you send us through the Judges, that when the great generation who saw Your miracles and knew You personally had died, the new one would worship sex idols of Baalim and the Asherahs. And your wrath burned against them and You let them be oppressed by the enemy for 8 years. But when such a people called Your Name, You had pity and raised a judge to free them and let them then live in peace for 40 years, until he died. And they sinned again, You let them be oppressed again, they relented again, and you rescued them again. (Judges 1 and 2)
So Adonai struck down the Cushites before Asa and before Judah. The Cushites fled … 2“ Chronicles 14:11-12
But then ADONAI sent Asa a prophet, Azariah, who explained him what happened and also told him that God has done his part, now the king and the people must do his:
“ 1 The Ruach Elohim came upon Azariah the son of Oded. 2 He went out to meet Asa, and said to him, “Listen to me Asa, all Judah and Benjamin. Adonai is with you as long as you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you. But if you forsake Him, He will spurn you. 3 For many days Israel was without the true God, without a teaching kohen (priest) and without Torah (law). 4 But in their distress they turned to Adonai, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them. 5 In those times there was no shalom (peace) for anyone coming or going, for there were many conflicts among all the inhabitants of the lands. 6 Nation was crushed by nation and city by city, for God troubled them with every kind of distress. 7 But you, chazak (courage!)! Do not let your hands be slack for there is reward for your labor.”
8 When Asa heard these words as well as the prophecy of Azariah the prophet, he took courage and removed the abominations from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the towns that he had seized in the hill country of Ephraim. He also repaired Adonai’s altar that was in front of Adonai’s entryway. 9 He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, as well as those dwelling with them from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon—for many had defected to him from Israel when they saw that Adonai his God was with him.
…
9 Then he assembled all Judah and Benjamin and the people from Ephraim, Manasseh and Simeon who had settled among them, for large numbers(Q)had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. … 12 They entered into a covenant(T) to seek the Lord,(U) the God of their ancestors, with all their heart and soul. … 14 They took an oath to the Lord with loud acclamation, with shouting and with trumpets and horns. 15 All Judah rejoiced about the oath because they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They sought God(W) eagerly, and he was found by them. So the Lord gave them rest(X) on every side.
2 Chronicles 15
May we as a Nation cry to You The LORD our God, and pray Asa’s prayer! And may we Your Church go to work for Your Kingdom, doing Your business, instead of just celebrating and being merry, like the prophet commanded.
Please Father, hear our cry against the satanic corruption in our government. It is greater than a million soldier army! But with You we have courage. We pray that those Supreme Court justices fear You alone and not men, and so each and all of us, and You restore through them the righteous leader You have chosen exposing the corruption once and for all. Please do not judge us according to Your justice, although we deserve it, but according to Your mercy and loving kindness that endure forever.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
